Lifestyle | Choosing My A-Levels

As you may know, I'm 16, which means in the UK I'm required to stay in some form of education until I'm 18, which means I have to take A-Levels. Usually, this will mean choosing whether to go to College or Sixth Form and deciding whether to study A-Levels or a B-Tech. I've finally decided to go to College and study A-Levels, but I didn't originally want to do this.

Originally, I had no idea what the difference was between a College and a Sixth Form and I just thought that a Sixth Form just meant that it was combined with a secondary school and a College was a separate building. Traditionally, Sixth Form is generally more academic and the atmosphere is more similar to school as it is attached to one, whereas a College is more vocational and the atmosphere is different to school as it is only teaching 16-18-year-olds.

Lifestyle | Exam Results Day

On the 25th August, I picked up my GCSE results and it was probably one of the most nerve-wracking things I've ever had to do. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll probably know that I suffer from anxiety, and a mix of anxiety and exam results is not a great one. The whole week leading up to my exam results, I was worried sick. I knew there was nothing I could do to change them, as many people felt the need to remind me, but that was not a comfort to me. I felt that because there was nothing I could do, I would be stuck with them forever, no matter if they were good or bad. The date loomed in my mind, and I would constantly think about how I would react in every possible situation. So, to make myself feel better, I came up with a plan.

Lifstyle | A Little Update

I'm so sorry I haven't been able to blog recently, as the past couple of weeks have been extremely hectic, with going on holiday, getting my GCSE results, enrolling in college and a lack of sleep. I'm finding it really difficult to stick to a schedule of uploading. Sometimes I'll be able to write a few posts in a day, schedule them and get them up on time, but sometimes I just lose the words, and I can't write anything. It just sucks, because I thought that this summer I'd be able post lots, upload every week and establish some sort of schedule.

I've also been thinking about what I'm going to do once I start my A-Levels soon. I know they're going to be a lots of work, but at the same time I really really don't want my blog to suffer.  So that is why I've decided to scrap the idea of a schedule for now.

I'm also really considering whether to start a Youtube channel. I've been thinking about this for a good 7 months now and contemplating the pros and cons, and I honestly do not know whether I'd be able to keep up both a blog and a channel, so I've decided to just stick with a blog for now.

Sorry this post is so short, and hopefully I'll be able to start posting again soon. I have a few things in the pipeline, but stay tuned to my Twitter to know about my upcoming posts!

I hope you're having a wonderful day wherever you are in the world!

Lots of love,
Marshmallow Skye
