Lifestyle | My Problem With Netflix

Hello World!

Like any normal person, I use Netflix, and it's pretty much a daily thing. I get into bed, put a film on, or watch a new episode of a show I've been watching (well, maybe another 5 episodes, let's be honest here!). And because of this, my mum was getting a bit concerned about my lack of revision, and my Netflix usage.

Originally, my cousin let me use his account for about a year and a half, but his parents were also getting concerned so they stopped the account. So, I asked my mum if we could get our own account for the time being so I could finally stop being a Netflix parasite, but my mum said no because of my upcoming exams. She did agree to getting our own account after my exams though.

This meant that I have had to struggle (and I am not exaggerating here, I've literally struggled through this pain!) without a Netflix account for about 4 months. But now, my exams are over, and my friend Kay is letting me use her account until I get my own, which was amazing of her!

Now, like anyone, I enjoy a bit of Netflix from time to time, but at the moment, it's just getting out of control! I think it's down the the withdrawl for 4 months, but I am watching so many things at the same time.

So, because I now have an account, I was thinking of doing Netflix series and film reviews and I am totally open to suggestions from you guys!

Let me know in the comments below what series and films you'd like for me to watch and give my thoughts on! I'm also thinking of doing reviews of films which maybe aren't avaliable on Netflix, but ones you guys suggest!

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day wherever you are in the world!

Lots of love,
Marshmallow Skye

  1. Lovely post! Your blog is so cute! When I first got Netflix I used to watch like 10 episodes of PLL everyday! I haven't watched it in ages but in the summer I am going to start my subscription again! X

    1. Aww thanks so much for your comment! I started watching PLL, but I can't remember what episode I was up to, and it's been that long that I'd probably have to start all over again! Want to follow for follow?

  2. I'm really happy you're blogging again, welcome back! :) I can very much relate to your Netflix problem I sometimes feel like having withdrawal symptoms when I can't watch Netflix for a week haha. Although it's become better, I used to spend days watching Netflix when I was younger. I'm currently watching OITNB and I'm loving it xx

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I really want to start watching OITNB, but I might hold on until I get my own account as my friend is already halfway through the series! I literally spend whole days watching Netflix, but then again, I don't have school anymore so why not!

  3. Haha, I'm not a normal person: I don't use Netflix. My parents don't see the point in getting an account and they'd be very concerned about the amount of time I'd spend watching everything that's even a little bit interesting :P
I only watch Game of Thrones, but I lack the willpower to watch more than one season every two weeks. I think something's wrong with me :P
Nice blog by the way :)

    1. Thanks so much for your comment! Originally, my parents didn't see the point, but now they do, after they used my cousin's account once or twice! To be honest, Game of Thrones seems a really intense series, so I think I'd be unable to watch more than one season!
      Thanks so much!

  4. I only get Netflix a few months ago but oh my god it's actual life changing?! I totally get why you're obsessed, it's the automatic starting of the next episode that always snares me haha. I'd love to see some Netflix reviews! X

  5. Hahaha yep, Netflix can be overly addictive. Don't think I have any requests, though I wonder what you think of Skins, if you've seen it. It's quite a time investment to watch all of the seasons though :) x

    1. Thanks so much for your comment! I've never watched Skins, but a few of my friends watch it so I'll definitely give it a watch because they love it! Don't worry, I'm looking for an investment now I've left school haha!

  6. Oh god I totally relate to this, Netflix is soooo addictive! It doesn't help that it just automatically plays new episodes either haha! I think it would be great to see reviews of things you've been watching, I'm thinking of doing a similar thing soon on my blog too :)

    Great post lovely!

  7. Ooh yes please, I would love to see a series review! Have you watched pretty little liars? So many people go on about it, but the first episode was too girly for me so I never really got into it.

    1. Aww thank you so much for your lovely comment! I think I got up to about season 4, over about 3 months but I wasn't really properly invested in it, I guess I just watched it because of the hype!
