Latest Blog Post | London Adventure!

Hello World!

Wow, so this post has been a LONG time coming! I'm so sorry this has taken me so long to upload guys, it's just been compileing the pictures that's taken the longest. Also, I don't want to make excuses but I've had a lot of homework recently and exams and ugh school. But I hope you enjoy this post!

A couple of weeks ago, I took a holiday down to London, to see the sights and to spend time with my grandparents. I also used it as an excuse to take some real Instagram worthy photos because, as you may well know, I love photography. These photos were all taken on my iPhone 4S as I haven't got used to my Olympus film camera just yet!

We visited the Houses of Parliament first, however there was a photography ban throughout nearly the whole building apart from Westminster Hall and of course, the iconic symbol of London, Big Ben. This was the only place we got a real guided tour and she told us that the Houses of Parliament is also called the Palace of Westminster. Also, that the word Parliament comes from the French word "parle" - which means to speak, because the language spoken in the Houses of Parliament was French back in the day! Unfortunatley, we weren't allowed to take pictures throughout the building, so I only managed to grab a few pictures! After we visited the Houses of Parliament, we had afternoon tea by the River Thames and it was so nice, and it was a gorgeous day too!

Record of the Month | August 2015

Hello World!

So today is my first Record of the Month post, and you guys don't know how excited I've been to start writing this! The month of August has brought a lot of travelling across the country, to visit family in Norfolk and to go sightseeing in London. However, this means I haven't had time to buy any more records, but I thought I'd introduce you to my record collection for this first ever Record of the Month.

First of all, my beautiful record box, my absolute pride and joy! One of my best friends, Peri, handmade this for me for my birthday this year. Before the box, my records had been precariously leaning up against my wall, and with the amount my collection has grown since then, they would be all over the floor without it! Also, it has George Harrison on it so it's automatically one of my favourite things ever! She tried to incorporate all of my personality onto the front, and the winged eyeliner pretty much sums up my whole makeup look.

Lifestyle | When People Get Mean

Hello World!

Today, I was inspired to write a post about bullying and mean people. It's probably going to be quite short because I don't want to ramble on and I hope that I can try and help anyone of you going through bullying or just general hate.

Personally, I try to take a really happy and positive outlook on life, no matter what the situation. Say I fail a mock exam (which I did last year, oops) by getting a D. I would think, well, I can use this as a way to improve and as a motivation for next year, because I definitely don't want to feel this low again. It also helped that my teacher said that she could see that I'd revised, I just didn't answer the questions in the correct way, so well done me!

I just feel that, there is NO excuse for being mean to somebody for no reason. I don't understand how some people feel that their snarky comments will positively impact someone else life. There is no need for being mean or bullying somebody, and it is just completely unnecessary. Why would you ever want to live your life by bringing somebody else down, just to make yourself feel good, or make yourself look better?

Do You Ever Feel | Depressed

Hello World!

Okay, first thing's first, I'm so sorry I missed last week's upload. I literally have no idea where that week went. I was so busy, and had no time to sit down and write, and I'm really sorry for that, but I hope this week's Do You Ever Feel... will make it up to you, because I know you guys love this series.

This week's theme is, as you may have guessed from the title, all about Depression. This is a very heavy subject, I know, so next week I want to maybe get some happier feelings into this series, because life is about feeling down as well as up. Depression is a hard topic for me to talk about, because I have actually been through it. You may think, "Oh well, if you've been through it, you'll be able to describe and help people understand easily", well the answer to that is...no, I can't help you understand how it feels, but I can try my best to describe it.

I'm really nervous to post this. I'm not going to lie, this is so difficult to do. I'm sat in my bedroom right now, taking a deep breath... I feel scared for writing this, like as if I'm sharing a really personal feeling, but if this post is able to help anyone out there, then that'll take away that fear. If you're out there, suffering from depression, or what you think might be depression, please, just tell somebody. Please, it's the best thing you'll do, if you have a family and friends who support you, or go to a doctor. I promise, everything will be okay.I hope that for writing this, that I'll be able to get closure and move on from this part of my life. I cannot deny that it happened and I felt this way. I need to move on past this.

Latest Blog Post | Tasting Strange Teas!

Hello World!

So, during my London Adventure a couple weeks ago (I'm planning on getting that posted as soon as possible, so please bear with me guys, I've had a crap ton of work to do for school and I've been super stressed so it's taking a while to edit photos, draft the post etc.)  I was staying in a hotel which had a load of individual tea bags with a variety of flavours. Seeing as I'm a boring person, I love just normal, English Breakfast tea or Earl Grey and they're the only tea I drink. I usually take it with milk and 2 and 1/2 sugars (or sweetener if my mother is making it). I've never tried any exciting tea flavours, apart from green tea which I've only had once and cinnamon tea which is sooooooo nice, but I decided to give some other favours a go and blog about it! So, I took a few home with me, tried a few and here is my report. (Also, this post is for future reference when I start to feel adventuourous about tea! Which is basically, don't subject your taste buds to it - they won't thank you for it!)

The Liebster Award

Hello World!

Oh my gosh, I just found out I'd been nominated three times for the Liebster Award that helps bloggers with under 200 followers/subscribers to get noticed and get their blogs out there. This is such a good award for the blogging community, because it helps bring people together, make friends and get a bigger following. I was nominated by:
Caoimhe - http://www.ismisecaoimhe.blogspot.ie/
Ashleigh Frances - http://ashleighfrances.blogspot.co.uk/
BrightDreamerz - http://brightdreamerz.blogspot.co.uk/

I want to thank you guys, who read my posts, take the time to comment and even to follow if you guys think I'm worthy. The fact that you guys seem to love what I write and post is just incredible, so thank you so much for that. You guys seem to relate so easily to what I'm saying and how I'm feeling, it makes me feel so much better about myself, the fact that I'm making an impact, even if it's more of a ripple than a splash in the ocean of the Internet. You guys, you share your stories in the comments, and that's something so personal, its just so brave of you to share and the fact that we're starting to make a sort of community here is well, I'm beyond happy.
